addition, CKF
also recommends

Cochin who had
already
expressed the
desire to help
similar kidney
patients.

Participates in
many medical
camps organized
by Care & Share
Kerala Chapter
and increases
awareness about
Chronic Kidney
Diseases (CKD),
early detection
and its
prevention. Also
participates in
the detection of
new cases of
diabetes and
hypertension.

Screening for
Early Evaluation
and Detection of
Kidney disease
(SEEK)
from the Harward
School is
organizing early
detection of
Chronic Kidney
Disease (CKD) at
15 centres in
India. CKF is
organizing the
screening of 500
persons at
Cochin. 250
people have
already been
screened at
Cochin at 3
camps and the
incidence of CKD
in these
asymptomatic
population is
around 49
members (@ 25%).

co-host for the
ISNCON2005, the
36th National
Conference of
the Nephrology
Association of
India at Cochin.
The largest
number of 147
abstracts,
posters
presented from
various parts of
the country
shows the
interest of
delegates at
Cochin. A total
number of 514
Delegates 119
accompanying

trade delegates
60 visitors were
therefore the
ISNCON2005. Vice
Adm.S.C.S.Bangara,
Flag Officer
Commander in
chief, Southern
Naval Command
inaugurated the
conference and
the presents of
Naval Band added

inauguration.

Das
at Bolgatty
Island gave a
good exposure to
the delegates
for a boat trip
and a travel to
an exotic
Island.

the renal
function tests
in camps as a
part of early

kidney diseases.
