Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) or home dialysis is another alternative. A permanent flexible catheter is implanted in the peritoneum, which is the covering for the intestine. Fluid, which is commercially available, is put in and is drained after a dwell period. This facilitates the removal of waste materials across peritoneum.

CAPD is @ Rs. 15000/- month (3 bags/day, total 90 bags/month).
